Matcha is simply shaded green tea leaves that have been ground into a fine powder. Instead of only receiving a small part of the nutritional benefits of brewed green tea, with matcha you are consuming the whole leaf, which means all the healthful goodness!

Matcha Organics is made from high quality green tea leaves that have been shade grown for 3 weeks, carefully picked, destemmed and deveined,   dried  and stone ground into a fine powder.


The process of covering the green tea leaves causes the leaves to photosynthesize therefore increasing chlorophyll and nutrient content. This also causes the leaves to have a dark green color and matcha to have a vibrant color.

How to make traditional matcha

Sift 1 gram of Matcha

Step 1: Sift 1 gram of Matcha Organics Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea into a tea bowl to prevent clumping. 1 gram of matcha equals about 1/2 a teaspoon.

Add a little hot water

Step 2: Pour approximately 2 oz of almost boiling water over the dry Matcha. Lightly combine and let the mixture cool for a minute.

Whisk until nice and frothy

Step 3: Using a bamboo whisk called a chasen whisk the mixture in a loose "W" or "M" shaped motion until the Matcha is foamy and frothy.

Add hot water to you liking - Enjoy!

Step 4: Some like it thick and strong and some like it thin and light. Add additional hot water to YOUR liking and ENJOY your Matcha!

The PERFECT afternoon Iced Matcha Latte

  1. Measure out 1/2 tsp. of Matcha Organics Japanese Ceremonial Matcha

  2. Whisk well with  2 tbsp. of warm water until matcha is frothy  

  3. Mix sweetener of choice with 3/4 cup of milk. Whisk extra for a cafe style froth.

  4. Add ice to mug or 8-10 oz glass and pour milk over.

  5. Pour Matcha over milk and mix.

  6. Enjoy as a classic latte or add cinnamon, other sweet spices, vanilla or extra sweetener.

Vanilla Matcha Frappe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of ice cubes 

  • 1 cup of milk (any kind)

  • 1 to 2 tsp Matcha Organics Matcha

  • 2 tbsp of sugar or sweetener alternative 

  • 4 tbsp of instant vanilla pudding mix

  • Whipped cream


INSTRUCTIONS

  • Blend all ingredients for about 40 seconds until smooth in a high speed blender.

  • Pour into glass and top with whipped cream.

Pumpkin Pie Spiced Hot Matcha Latte

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup 

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tbsp pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling as it has extra sweetener)

  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/2 tsp Matcha Organics Japanese Ceremonial Matcha Powder

  • 1/4 cup hot water


INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add milk, maple syrup, vanilla and pumpkin puree to a small saucepan on high heat and whisk together.

  • Add pumpkin pie spice and continue whisking until steam starts rising. Do not boil.

  • Prepare your matcha with the 1/4 cup of hot water.

  • Add your pumpkin pie milk to your heat safe cup.

  • Add matcha.

  • Top with extra pumpkin pie spice if you wish.

  • Enjoy!
